Grace has become a sought after dancer/choreographer/teacher across the USA. Grace is on faculty with New York City Dance Alliance and Steps on Broadway in New York. She has toured the world as Ballet Mistress & performer for Rasta Thomas' "ROMEO & JULIET” and “ROCK the BALLET”, choreographed by Adrienne Canterna. Grace can most recently be seen dancing in season 2 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel and her choreography most recently featured on season 3 of NBC’s World of Dance. She is excited to announce her upcoming role as Associate Choreographer for the non-union tour of Cats, choreographed by Andy Blankenbuehler.
She and the founding faculty/team members started BUILD Dance Series last year. Grace continues to act as director and faculty member.

RENATO PENTEADO

Renato Penteado was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where he began his dance training at the age of seven. In 1998, he competed in the International Ballet Competition in Jackson, Mississippi, where he then was invited by Miami City Ballet Founder and former Artistic Director Edward Villella to join the Company as a member of the corps de ballet. He was promoted to Principal Dancer in 2004. He retired from Miami City Ballet in April of 2019.
Throughout his career, Mr. Penteado has danced nationally and internationally in numerous classical, Neoclassical, contemporary and modern works by world-renowned choreographers such as George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Twyla Tharp, Alexei Ratmansky, Paul Taylor, Christopher Wheeldon, John Cranko, Justin Peck, Edward Villella, Liam Scarlett, Sir Frederick Ashton and many others.
Teresa Carreño in Caracas, Venezuela; and David H. Koch Theater in New York City. He has been a guest artist with the Toledo Ballet Association since 2008. Mr. Penteado’s television appearances include performing The Golden Section by Twyla Tharp and the Third Movement of Western Symphony by George Balanchine with the Miami City Ballet for the PBS Great Performances series in 2010.
In 2016, Mr. Penteado was nominated and voted the winner of Dance Magazine’s Readers Choice Awards for Best Male Performance. In addition to his professional performing career, Mr. Penteado has taught extensively as a faculty member of Summer Dance Programs throughout the United States, including at Miami City Ballet School (2004-16), Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet (2017-present), Cecchetti Council of America (2017- present) and Toledo Ballet Association (2014-present).

PREHAB Dance Therapy Evaluations with Kolbe Seff

We are fortunate to have the opportunity to work with Kolbe Seff, a Doctor of Physical Therapy that is specifically trained in dancer therapy. Kolbe Seff received her B.A. in dance in addition to her B.S. in Exercise Physiology from DeSales University. She has worked for Joffrey Ballet School as Director of Residence Life, trained at the Gibney Dance Center, became certified in Pilates and collaborated in dance project throughout New York City. I her post-graduate schooling career Kolbe has concentrated on continuing her education on treating dancers and has received such training from places such a s the Cincinnati Children's Hospital in Ohio and the Harkness Center for Dance Injury in NYC. She has a passion for helping dancers to achieve the longest career possible in order that they can do what they love for as long as they want.
Kolbe will be screening and evaluating students here at The Studio December 5! Her unique anatomical screening of each dancer includes screening of range of motion, strength, asymmetries, anatomic deficits, and dance movement screening. As well as, post screening of explanation of findings, home exercise assignment, and provides dance class specific information.

Jakob has been seen in CATS on Broadway (Mistoffelees Understudy) & Cirque Du Soleil’s VOLTA. He was the Runner Up on So You Think You Can Dance Season 6. His credits also include The RADIO CITY New York Spectacular (Mia Michaels), Rock the Ballet, VIVA ELVIS by Cirque Du Soleil, Kiss Me Kate at Barrington Stage, The 82nd Annual Academy Awards, America’s Got Talent, GLEE, and Company XIV.
